Study Spanish in Playa del Carmen
Playa del Carmen, simply referred to as Playa by its locals is a cosmopolitan city that lies in the Caribbean Sea. Famous for its picturesque and breathtaking views, many could not help but fall in love with the city. Situated 35 miles on the south of Spain’s Mayan Riviera, Playa del Carmen is easy to explore on foot because of its relatively small size.
Aside from its unique setting, the city also offers an ideal place to study and learn the Spanish language.
Formerly a small fishing town, Playa del Carmen is now home to more than 100,000 inhabitants. The city’s tourism made its kick off when it offered passenger ferry service to those going to Cozumel, which is a famous destination for scuba divers. As people noticed Playa’s own beauty through its blue waters and quality beaches, it began to make a name of its own.
Among the sights that students learning Spanish can look forward to in the city is the eco-archeological park named Xcaret (pronounced as “esh-caret”) Eco Park. The Mexican-themed park is located six miles of Playa’s south. To experience the food and lifestyle in the city, the Fifth Avenue has hundreds of restaurants, bars, and shops lining it that would keep everyone occupied and entertained.
The city’s tranquility and small size are just a few reasons to seriously consider studying Spanish in Playa del Carmen.
